Public Health England has stated for many years that vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking and endorses vaping as a viable cessation method.

One of the reasons for this is that vaping doesn't burn tobacco, eliminating many of the harmful chemicals and byproducts such as tar and carbon monoxide, which are the two biggest killers associated with smoking.
