Vape pods are compact, easy-to-use cartridges designed for pod vape systems. They typically contain a built-in coil and are available in refillable or pre-filled formats, making them ideal for beginners and experienced vapers alike.
At Vampire Vape, we stock a wide range of vape pods compatible with leading pod kits, offering smooth nicotine salt performance, excellent flavour delivery, and hassle-free maintenance.
Whether you're replacing a worn-out pod or upgrading to a new system, you’ll find high-quality vape pods at competitive UK prices.
Vape pods are replacement cartridges designed for use with pod vape kits and pod systems. Available in detachable, refillable, and pre-filled formats, vape pods typically house both the e-liquid and the built-in coil, making maintenance simple and convenient. Instead of replacing your entire device, you can simply swap out the pod when it runs empty or the coil reaches the end of its lifespan.
Each vape pod is designed to be compatible with specific pod vape devices and features a 2ml e-liquid capacity, fully compliant with UK TPD regulations.
A pod vape kit is an easy-to-use device with a vape pod that slides in and out of the kit body. They are ergonomically built to fit in the palm of your hand, as well as your pocket or bag when out and about. These pod vape kits are ideal for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping as the pods have a smaller hole which produces a stronger throat hit on inhale. Pod Kits can again come in a refillable or prefilled style.Â
Choosing between a refillable or prefilled vape kit depends on your experience level, convenience, preference and flavour variety. Prefilled pod kits are ideal for beginners due to the simplicity whilst pod kits are also ideal for beginners but offer more flexibility.Â
While some prefer the ease of prefilled pod kits, others prefer the customisation that refillable pod kits offer. By understanding the key benefits of each, it can help you find the perfect fit for your vaping experience.Â

The Benefits
Refillable pods allow you to fill them with your favourite e-liquid or nicotine salts via a top, side or bottom cap, offering better value and more flavour choice. These come with or without integrated coils, or with separate interchangeable coils which are easily swapped out for a new one making it hassle-free. They are ideal for users who enjoy experimenting with different vape juices.
Best for:
✔ Regular vapers
✔ Flavour switching
✔ Cost-effective vaping
Closed pod systems come pre-filled with e-liquid and are designed for convenience. Simply replace the pod when empty - no refilling required.
Best for:
✔ Beginners
✔ Convenience seekers
✔ Low-maintenance vaping
Refillable vape pods work best with nicotine salt e-liquids or 50/50 VG/PG freebase e-liquids, as these thinner liquids wick efficiently in low-wattage pod systems. These e-liquids provide a smooth throat hit, good flavour performance, and help extend pod coil lifespan.
High-VG e-liquids (70VG or higher) are generally not recommended for most refillable vape pods, as their thicker consistency can cause poor wicking, dry hits, or reduced coil life - unless the pod is specifically designed for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping.
Nicotine salts – ideal for smooth nicotine delivery
50/50 VG/PG e-liquids – balanced flavour and coil longevity
Low-VG freebase nicotine liquids – suitable for MTL pods
Always check your device’s coil resistance and manufacturer guidelines to ensure the best performance.
The best vape pods for nicotine salts are low-wattage pods with higher-resistance coils (typically 0.8Ω–1.2Ω), as they provide a smoother throat hit and efficient nicotine delivery. Pods designed for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping work particularly well with nicotine salts, offering controlled vapour production and longer coil life.
Popular nicotine salt–friendly vape pods usually feature:
Higher-resistance coils for cooler, smoother draws
Lower power output to prevent harsh hits
Tight or adjustable airflow for an MTL-style inhale
Leak-resistant, refillable pod designs
These pods are ideal for ex-smokers and users seeking quick nicotine satisfaction without excessive vapour production.
When selecting vape pods, consider:
Device compatibility (brand & model)
Coil resistance (higher ohms for MTL, lower ohms for more vapour)
Refillable vs pre-filled
Nicotine salt compatibility
E-liquid capacity
Flavour performance & coil longevity

Our expert Andrew explains the use of vape pods and coils. He explains how to use them and the different types.

This video explains the main similarities and differences between refillable and prefilled vape pods, including flavours, use and pod kits.

In this video, our expert Andrew explains what a vape pod kit is and the different features that vape pod kits have to offer.
Yes - pod systems are among the simplest and most beginner-friendly vape devices.
Only refillable pods can be reused. Closed pods are disposable once empty.
Most vape pods last around 2–3 weeks, depending on usage habits, e-liquid type, and wattage settings. In general, it’s recommended to replace refillable vape pods every two to three weeks to maintain the best flavour, vapour production, and coil performance.
A refillable vape pod typically lasts 2–3 weeks, though high-quality pods, especially those with replaceable coils, can last up to a month with proper care. Pods with integrated coils should be replaced entirely once coil performance declines, while pods with replaceable coils can be reused longer by swapping only the coil.
Prefilled vape pods work differently, as they come preloaded with e-liquid. These pods can be used until the e-liquid runs out, after which the entire pod is replaced. Their lifespan depends mainly on how frequently they are used.
There are several common indicators that a vape pod needs replacing:
Reduced vapour production – Less vapour can signal a worn coil
Weaker or fading flavour – Flavour loss often means coil performance is dropping
Burnt or dry hits – A burnt taste, even with e-liquid remaining, indicates the pod has reached the end of its life
To extend the lifespan of your vape pod, avoid chain vaping and taking excessively long draws. Heavier usage will naturally cause pods and coils to wear out more quickly.
Vape pod leakage can happen for several reasons, and understanding the cause can help you prevent it — especially when refilling your pod.
One of the most common causes is overfilling. Adding too much e-liquid can flood the pod and force liquid out. Always leave a small air gap at the top to maintain proper pressure.
Leaks can also occur if the pod is old, damaged, or defective. Check for cracks, wear, or loose seals, and replace the pod if needed.
If your pod uses replaceable coils, make sure the coil is securely fitted. A loose or incorrectly installed coil can allow e-liquid to escape.
Using the wrong type of e-liquid can also lead to leaks. Liquids that are too thin or not suited to your pod system may oversaturate the coil, causing excess liquid to seep out.
Finally, worn-out coils are a frequent culprit. Coils typically last 2–3 weeks, and once the cotton degrades, it may no longer hold e-liquid properly = leading to leaking.
If your vape pod is leaking, try the following steps:
Remove the pod from your device
Wrap it in tissue and gently blow through the mouthpiece to clear excess liquid
Wipe away any remaining e-liquid inside the pod chamber
Allow the device to cool if it feels warm
Check that the coil is fitted correctly, or replace it if necessary
Avoid overfilling the pod in future to prevent further leaks
Yes, vape pods can be recyclable, but they must be disposed of safely and responsibly.
Before recycling:
Use up any remaining e-liquid to prevent spills
Check local recycling guidelines, as some centres accept vape pods as e-waste
Look for manufacturer take-back schemes, where brands collect used pods for recycling
If recycling isn’t available, dispose of vape pods in household waste - but keep them away from heat or fire risks, as some pods contain small electronic components.
