Atomizer:
An electrical component that transforms e-liquid into vapour, commonly known as a coil.
ADV (All Day Vape):
An e-liquid flavour that vapers enjoy throughout the day without switching flavours midday.
APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizer):
Often referred to as a mod, APVs are e-cigarettes with larger units, replaceable batteries, and variable voltages or wattages.
Airflow:
The amount of air drawn in with each drag. Looser airflow produces more vapour, while tighter airflow enhances flavour intensity.
Automatic:
Describes an e-cigarette without a button; the device recognizes when the user takes a drag.
Automatic Shutoff:
A safety feature in most regulated e-cigarettes to prevent battery overheating.
Battery:
The main power source of an e-cigarette. Some e-cigs have non-replaceable batteries, while others use replaceable ones.
Blend:
Refers to the ratio of propylene glycol to vegetable glycerin in e-liquid.
Box Mod:
A type of mod supported by a box-shaped battery.
Bridge:
A disposable atomizer holding the e-liquid.
Clearomizer:
Combines a cartridge and atomizer, often transparent to monitor e-liquid levels.
Cig-a-like:
An e-cig resembling a tobacco cigarette.
Clouds:
The amount of vapour released with each puff.
Cloud Chasing:
Vapers seeking e-cigarettes that produce massive clouds.
Coil:
An essential atomizer component that heats or vaporizes e-liquid.
Coil Jig:
A metal tool for rebuilding the coil in an e-cig.
Custom Mod:
Vapers who create their mods rather than buying factory-built ones.
DIY:
Refers to making one's own e-liquid.
Drip Tip:
A removable mouthpiece for an e-cigarette.
Dripping:
Applying liquid directly to the coil instead of using a cartridge.
Dry Burn:
An effect from an e-cigarette when there's insufficient or no liquid in the device.
Dry Hit:
Describes a drag from an e-cig when the coil has burnt out.
E-liquid:

Hybrid:
A device where the atomizer connects directly to the battery with no 510 connections.
LED:

Low Resistance (LR):
This causes an e-cig to produce more vapour but may reduce battery life.
Mechanical Mod:
A device with a battery and switch often lacks common safety features.
MG Strength:
Indicates the nicotine amount per millilitre of e-liquid.
Mod:
E-cigarettes or vape kits made up of separate components.
Multi-Voltage:
A mod with various voltage settings adjustable to the vaper's preferences.
No-Nic or Nic Free:
E-liquid without nicotine.
Ohm:
Refers to the resistance of a coil in an atomizer. Lower ohms give a harder throat hit and warmer vape but may reduce battery life.
PG (Propylene Glycol):
Adds flavour to e-liquid and provides a good throat hit.
Rebuildables:
Tanks or atomizers allow vapers to rebuild their coils and wicks, primarily used by experienced vapers.
Regulated Mod:
A device with safety features to prevent overheating.
Tanks:
Larger clearomizers that can hold more e-liquid.
Starter Kit:
A comprehensive package containing essential items for starting vaping.
Throat Hit:
The sensation when the vapour hits the throat.
Vaper’s Tongue:

Mesh Coil:
A type of coil that uses a mesh-like metal material instead of a traditional wire coil. Mesh coils can provide improved heating and vapour production.
Nicotine Salt (Nic Salt):
A type of nicotine that is chemically different from the nicotine found in traditional e-liquids. Nicotine salt e-liquids are often smoother and allow for higher nicotine concentrations without the harsh throat hit.
Pod System:
A compact vaping device that uses replaceable or refillable pods instead of traditional tanks. Pod systems are often user-friendly and suitable for beginners.
Squonk Mod:
A type of mod with a built-in e-liquid bottle that allows vapers to squeeze e-liquid directly onto the atomizer, eliminating the need for dripping.
Sub-Ohm Tank:
A type of tank with coils that have a resistance of less than one ohm. Sub-ohm tanks are known for producing large clouds of vapour.
Temperature Control (TC):
A feature on some mods that allows users to control the temperature of the coil, providing a more consistent vape and preventing dry hits.
Top-Fill:
Refers to tanks or clearomizers that are filled from the top, making the refilling process more convenient.
USB-C Charging:

Mesh RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer):
An RDA that utilizes a mesh coil for improved heating and vaporization of e-liquid.
Hybrid Nicotine:

DNA Chip:

Shortfill:
